As I mentioned in my January favorites post, Glossier's 'The Supers' Serums are my favorite product right now, and, as promised, I'm reviewing them for you today! So let's talk skincare:
First off, there are three different serums they released: Super Glow, Super Pure, and Super Bounce. I bought them in The Super Pack ($65) and received all three AND saved $19. I think that's a pretty sweet deal for three serums that are actually amazing.
Super Glow ($28) is my least favorite of the three serums, but only because I typically don't want to glow. I glow enough already with my oily skin. This vitamin C and magnesium serum is meant to brighten skin and even out skin tone over time. I like using this particular serum when I'm not breaking out and don't feel like putting on makeup (which is most days now). It really does make you glow. My one complaint with this one is that it's very water-like in consistency making it hard to apply to your skin. I find it best to tilt my head back and use the dropper to apply the serum to my skin in sections and then rub it in. Squirting directly onto your hands will guarantee that your serum is ending up everywhere but your face.
This hyaluronic acid and vitamin B5 serum literally SAVED my face when I came home from England. My skin was incredibly dry and flaky from all of the airplane rides and not drinking enough water (typical for me). With only a few days of using Super Bounce ($28) day and night, my skin was rehydrated and much softer. This serum is thick enough that you can squirt it from the dropper directly onto your fingers and then apply to your skin. If dry skin is your enemy, this serum will literally be your superhero.
Last up we have Super Pure ($28), my favorite of the trio. This niacinamide and zinc serum is my new acne-fighting BFF in my skincare routine. It also helps calm redness which I typically have a lot of around my nose. I'm running dangerously low on this one, so I'm waiting until my other serums are low enough to justify ordering another full pack. (I'd save $19, remember?) I like to mix this serum in with one of the other serums in the morning, but I use it alone at night. It has a consistency between Super Glow and Super Bounce, so it's not too watery that you can't squirt it into your hand, or super thick. It's just right. This specific serum is my super.
Let me know your thoughts on these serums and if you're thinking of buying one (or all) of them in the comments below!
Happy hump day!
