So I leave for England in TWO DAYS. I'm feeling everything from excitement to anxiety, but I'm mostly excited for this new adventure ahead. As I've been packing, I've really had to learn to bring only the bare necessities along for the trip, so I wanted to share those necessities with you. Today I'm going to be showing you everything I'm packing in my makeup bag. These are my ride or die products and also some new items to transition with me into fall.
Base: 1. L'Oréal Infallible Pro-Matte 24HR Foundation, 2. Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream, 2. Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer, 4. Glossier Stretch Concealer. These products are perfect for me because they cover a range of looks. The L'Oréal foundation and the Naked concealer are great for days when I want more coverage while the Maybelline BB cream and Glossier concealer are perfect for evening out my skin and looking fresh. I'm also bringing along mini sizes of the Benefit Cosmetics The POREfessional Face Primer and the Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer as well.
Face: 1. It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Pressed Anti-Aging Finishing Powder, 2. Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Matte Bronzer, 3. Becca Cosmetics x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette (sold out). This wasn't hard to narrow down to my top favorites. I've raved about this powder before, and the bronzer is not too warm or too cool, so you can contour and bronze with it. The Becca palette is perfect because it has two highlighters and three blushes, so it can be used in some way for every look. Versatility is key when packing items for a long trip.
Eyes: 1. Morphe Brushes 35O - 35 Color Nature Glow Eyeshadow Palette, 2. ColourPop Cosmetics Super Shock Shadow in Tang, 3. ColourPop Cosmetics Super Shock Shadow in Stereo. I'm not typically a big user of eyeshadows, but I wanted to bring some along just in case. Another super versatile item, the Morphe palette is perfect for creating so many different looks and will really complement my blue eyes. I'm bringing along two shades from ColourPop's fall edit 1 because I love the colors and they're absolutely perfect for this kind of year.
Eye liners: 1. ColourPop Cosmetics Crème Gel Colour in Mr. Bing, 2. ColourPop Cosmetics Crème Gel Colour in Best O, 3. ColourPop Cosmetics Crème Gel Pencil in Mr. Bing, 4. ColourPop Cosmetics Crème Gel Pencil in Get Paid, 4. ColourPop Cosmetics Crème Gel Pencil in Piggy Bank (discontinued), 4. ColourPop Cosmetics Crème Gel Pencil in Cry Baby, 5. ColourPop Cosmetics Crème Gel Pencil in Best O. First off, I apologize for my slightly blurry photo—I'm still getting used to my new camera! It's very obvious that I love ColourPop eye liners. They're just really easy to work with and come in a lot of fun colors. I'm bringing a basic warm brown (Mr. Bing) and a burgundy that's perfect for fall (Best O) in both a pencil and gel pot so I can create a dramatic wing or just line my lower lashline. Get Paid (rose gold), Piggy Bank (purple) and Cry Baby (lavender) are my fun colors to switch up my look every now and then.
Brow Gel/Eye Pencil/Mascara/Liner + Shadow Stick: 1. Glossier Boy Brow, 2. MAC Cosmetics Chromographic Pencil in NC15/NW20, 3. Benefit Cosmetics Roller Lash Super Curling & Lifting Mascara, 4. Marc Jacobs Beauty Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara, 5. CoverGirl LashBlack Volume Mascara, 6. Mary Kay At Play Shadow & Liner in Iced Lilac. I know this a random hodge podge of items, but these are my final eye makeup items I'm bringing along. Of course, I'm bringing my Boy Brow by Glossier because it's the best brow gel EVER. The MAC pencil is actually meant to be a concealer, but Jaclyn Hill uses it as a liner for her waterline, so I use it as an liner for my waterline. These are my top three mascaras that I either wear individually, some combination of two or all three together depending on my look. Finally, I'm bringing along this Mary Kay Shadow & Liner stick because it's super easy to throw on a purple eye look with very minimal effort.
Lips: 1. Kylie Cosmetics Gloss in Candy K, 2. Kylie Cosmetics Matte Lip Kit in Candy K, 3. Kylie Cosmetics Matte Lip Kit in Love Bite, 4. ColourPop Cosmetics Lippie Pencil in Dukes, 5. ColourPop Cosmetics Lippie Stix in Dukes, 6. ColourPop Cosmetics Ultra Satin Lip in Hutch, 7. ColourPop Cosmetics Ultra Glossy Lip in Sookie, 7. Urban Decay Cosmetics Vice Mega Matte Lipstick in Oblivion. Lipsticks are obviously my favorite makeup items. I really love the dark berry colors for fall, so that's why Love Bite, Dukes, Hutch and Sookie along with me. Plus, I hear British girls love dark lips, so I'll fit right in. For days when I need a more neutral lip, I'm bringing my favorite color—Candy K—in both a lipstick and a gloss. Oblivion is also a great neutral shade since it's a taupe color. I'm also bringing Glossier Generation G in Jam and I'm throwing my Glossier Flavored Balm Dotcom in Rose into my carry on bag.
Hair: 1. Drybar The Chaser Shine Cream, 2. Drybar Mai Tai Spritzer Sea Salt Spray, 3. Drybar Triple Sec 3-in-1, 4. Ouai Wave Spray, 5. Ouai Texturizing Hair Spray. I know hair products aren't makeup products, but I thought I would share these with you as well. I love bringing minis like this on trips. Drybar and Ouai have awesome hair products so I had to bring along some of my favorite items. The Drybar items were actually sold in a set called I Heart Road Trips Kit and I got an extra 10 percent off when I bought it at the River North Drybar location, so it was a great deal. Triple Sec is one of my favorite texturizing sprays, but Ouai's spray has really taken over my life. I actually just ran out, so I guess that means I have to buy the full size bottle now. Darn.
So that's all of my beauty products I'm bringing along to England! Stay tuned for everything I'm packing in my suitcase. Spoiler Alert: There's a LOT of clothes.
See you tomorrow for another product review!
