I know that we're almost halfway through August already, but better late than never, right? Today, I'm going to be talking about my favorite products and items for July!
We'll start with the beauty favorites for the month:
If you know me, you know that Jaclyn Hill is my favorite YouTuber and the Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Champagne Pop is my favorite highlighter. I ran to my Sephora a couple days before the Champagne Collection Face Palette was even released and begged them to give it to me early. This is going to be the ONLY palette I bring with me for highlighter and blush when I leave for England in 34 DAYS(!!!!) Unfortunately, the palette sold out pretty quickly, but the Split Pans are still available if you want to try out any of the blushes or the other highlighter, Prosecco Pop. BECCA also released Champagne Pop in the Shimmering Skin Perfector Poured Crème, Shimmering Skin Perfector and the brand new Slimlights that I'm DYING to try.
I fell back in love with the L'Oréal Paris Infallible Matte Foundation this month. This is the PERFECT foundation for anyone with oily skin. I don't feel like I look greasy or oily after wearing this for hours—instead, I look like I'm glowing from within. I do set this with powder even though it is already a matte foundation because I can't not set my face. It's like oily skin suicide. I'm in the shade 101 Classic Ivory, but I mix in a little bit of 103 Natural Buff to achieve my perfect shade at the moment. I HIGHLY recommend this foundation for anyone with normal to oily skin!
I bought the It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Pressed Anti-Aging Finishing Powder on recommendation from another of my favorite YouTubers, KathleenLights, and I'm so glad I did. I literally watch my pores disappear before my eyes when I put this powder on. It's magic in a compact. I can't even describe how wonderful this product is.
My hair has thanked me for upgrading from sample to an actual tub of this magical product. The R&B Hair Moisturizer from LUSH has saved my hair and reduced my split ends. I just take a small amount and run it through my damp hair after I wash it (which is once or twice a week) and brush it through. My hair has been so soft and growing so quickly because of this product, my washing schedule and not using hot tools on my hair.
Another LUSH product I've been loving is the Tea Tree Water Toner Water (isn't it redundant to have water in the name twice???) This has helped my skin a lot with fighting and preventing breakouts. I love putting this in the fridge and spritzing it on while it's cold. It makes for a super refreshing skin care regimen.
Sorry for the tiny product, but this is the belif Moisturizing & Firming Eye Cream that I purchased in the belif Bestsellers On-The-Go set. This eye cream really soothes my undereye area and preps it for layers of concealer to cover up my bags and dark circles. I've barely made a dent in this, so a little goes a LONG way.
I've started using my Clarisonic Mia Skin Cleansing System again this month, and I've seen a huge difference in the texture of my skin. It's an easy way to exfoliate without using an actual exfoliator. Since I have acne-prone skin, I use the Acne Brush Head and I replace it every three months for sanitation reasons.
And now that we've discussed all my favorite beauty products (which is obviously a lot), let's talk about my favorite clothing items for the month:
My favorite clothing item this month has been my Topshop Ruffle Off the Shoulder Bodysuit. It's comfortable and very on-trend right now. I can easily dress it down, sort of like I did in the picture above, or dress it up with some culottes and my lace-up flats.
I don't have a photo of them, but I bought the PERFECT pair of leggings in July. They are the Zella 'Live In' Leggings and these are the black leggings of my dreams. They're thick enough that you can't see through them and they don't stretch out throughout the day. They're also super comfortable and reversible, so that's a plus!
An accessory I've been loving is the Quay Australia sunglasses in the style My Girl. They're oversized and very dramatic, so they obviously go with my dramatic personality. Adam doesn't like them, but oh well. He doesn't have to wear them.
Now for a few miscellaneous items that I loved in July:
Gardenias are my favorite flower, so when I saw this Candle Tin in the scent Fresh Gardenia on clearance at Target, I had to buy it. It smells amazing.
This is the only makeup bag I'm taking to England... I don't even know how I'm going to fit all my makeup in there. This is the Tartan + Twine Iris Rhode Weekender Print bag, and I think it's actually going to be the perfect cosmetic bag for my trip across the pond. It packs easily because it's flat, and has a fun print!
Another travel favorite for the month is The Getaway Passport Holder and the matching Getaway Luggage Tag. I love the saying, because I will be outta here in just 34 days from now. You have no idea how excited I am.
My last favorite for July is Grace's debut album, "FMA." I loved her song "You Don't Own Me," but I love this album even more. If you've been wondering where I've gotten my Instagram captions, this album is the source. My favorite song off the album is "Church on Sunday" (not actually about going to church on Sunday, mom) and "Boyfriend Jeans." I've definitely put them on the list of songs I would potentially sing if I auditioned and made it on The Voice. I need to impress Adam Levine, you know?
I hope you enjoyed reading about some of my favorites for July! I'm already gathering lots of favorites for August, and I can't wait to share them with you at the end of the month! Stay tuned!
