It's been a minute since I've done a nail post, but since the end of KL Polish, I haven't been buying any new collections. I'm usually not into the collections from Essie or OPI, but there was something about Essie's new summer line that just spoke to me. Maybe it's because I've been really into the neon trend lately, but I just couldn't help but pick up these polishes to try out and show you guys.

This collection was inspired by the colors of Argentina and it's the perfect way to wear this summer's neon trend on your nails. What I didn't know when I purchased these is that they all come in a demi-matte finish. They won't have that shine when they dry unless you put a topcoat over top which I highly recommend with these polishes. Even with a top coat, they aren't as shiny as your standard cream formula. I also have a matte topcoat which I tested out with these to complete flatten them out but I didn't like that look. I definitely prefer some shine to my nails.
As I've found before with essie polishes, these tend to chip kind of quick on my nails. It doesn't help that I'm chasing after a now-mobile baby all day along with two dogs. It also doesn't help that I type a lot so the ends of my nails definitely get beat up. I'm okay with redoing my nails every week, though, because I like to switch up colors a lot.
Overall, I really like this summer collection from essie. What do you think of these neon shades? Let me know in the comments!
