It's been a hot minute since I've done a dedicated favorites post but I have a love of things I've been loving this month, more so than normal I think. Maybe it's the return of warm weather or whatever.
WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO? by Billie Eilish
This has been a favorite since April honestly, but I can't stop listening to this album. I just keep putting it on repeat whenever I'm painting, driving, trying to hide from Kal for a little bit, etc. My favorite songs are "my strange addiction" and "bury a friend."
Truth Hurts by Lizzo
I first heard this song in the movie "Someone Great" and the line "I just took a DNA test, turns out I'm 100 percent that bitch" really resonated with me. *insert laughing emoji here*
Speaking of someone great... I love "Jane the Virgin" and therefore Gina Rodriguez so I immediately watched this movie when I saw it on Netflix. It was honestly the first movies I watched in a while that was interesting enough for me to put my phone down.
So Nolan and I are big "Game of Thrones" fans and before watching an episode one night, they had the trailer for another HBO series about the nuclear reactor explosion in 1986. We started watching it and it's been really interesting for both of us since Nolan works for Exelon doing nuclear security. I won't lie, though, it's hard to watch all the men get radiation sickness because I could just picture that being Nolan if something went wrong with the reactors at his plant. But I do recommend this series if you like historical dramas and still have your HBO subscription from watching GoT.
I saw Alex Garza post about these on her Instagram stories and when she said they were only $29, I needed to get a pair or two. They're only on sale for $34.80 now, but I think I would still pay the $58 for these shorts even if they weren't on sale at all because they are perfect for me. They're a little bit longer which works for my long legs and they have a high rise which I prefer in my bottoms. I picked up the medium wash and the ripped light wash.
Béis Transparent Beach Tote
This tote is my new go-to whenever I'm heading somewhere that requires I bring a lot of shit. Kal doesn't exactly travel light so this is perfect for throwing his stuff (and mine) into for whatever we're doing.
Sephora Collection Clean Skincare
I could go on and on, but I'll just let you hop on over to my post dedicated to these products so you can read all about them.
Method Body Wash
Smells SO good. All I can say is that you need to go get this now. Bonus: it's a clean product.
Nolan and I have been working our way through all of the Marvel movies and eating a lot of popcorn while we do it. We both love this popcorn because it's low carb (Nolan's preference, not mine) and it tastes delicious, of course. He prefers the butter flavor but the low sodium is my favorite.
Cape Cod Chicken Salad
If you have a Costco membership, do yourself a favor and go pick up this chicken salad. It's seriously the best chicken salad I've ever had and is also GF so Nolan and I can both eat it. Trust me, you won't want to eat anything else for awhile.

Much to my mother's dismay, I only wash my hair once a week. I started doing this about two years ago and haven't looked back since then. But this means that the products I use on my hair are really important to helping maintain semi-decent looking hair for a full seven days. Today I'm going to run through some of my haircare favorites for the last several months.
Living proof No Frizz Nourishing Oil
Naturally, your hair can start to look a little dry and brittle on the ends when you don't condition it more than once a week. If I'm not going to do a bun and my ends are looking a little ratty, I'll smooth some of this hair oil from mid-shaft to the ends of my hair to revive it. My favorite thing about this particular oil — and all Living proof products for that matter — is the smell. But it also works great as well.
IGK Trust Fund Thickening Foam
So IGK apparently doesn't make this product anymore. Trust Fund is now a scalp rebalancing treatment which is pretty much the exact opposite of this product, but they have Sunday Funday Texture Foam which I'm assuming is similar to this. I first discovered this product/line when I cut off all my hair in December (still crying about this, tbh). I didn't want my new Dakota Johnson-inspired bob to fall flat so I went on the hunt for a mousse to keep my hair voluminous and textured. This was the winner. It even gives my hair a little bit of a wave when I use it and scrunch while I blowdry. I do find, though, that this product doesn't work as well on my hair now as it did when it was shorter.
Living proof Perfect Hair Day In-Shower Styler
So I can be incredibly lazy when it comes to my hair. I mean, I only wash it once a week because it's a chore, so I need products that do the work for me. This product is the last step I take before getting out of the shower if I want to air dry my hair that day. It helps dry my hair quickly and doesn't make my hair stick flat to my head (driving with the top down on my car helps that problem as well). If you're looking for the perfect lazy girl hair product, this is it.
Living proof Full Dry Volume Blast
My holy grail volumizing spray. It does not get better than Full Dry Volume Blast. I used to be obsessed with Triple Sec 3-in-1 from Drybar, but Living proof's version is my all-time favorite. My hair is HUGE when I use this. It makes everything from ponytails to buns to curls look voluminous when I really don't have that much hair normally. If you're going to splurge on any hair product, I recommend this or the last product on the list.
Living proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo
You had to know that a dry shampoo was going to be on this list as soon as I talked about my hair washing habits (or lack thereof). I've tried everything from TRESemmé to Drybar to Batiste (still a drugstore favorite), but I always come back to Living proof. I really love their full range of products and it all began with this dry shampoo. It smells great and make my hair look like it was freshly washed even if I'm on day 5. Completely worth the $23, in my opinion.
