BOOM! It's a 2-for-1 special here on Do You Have It In Black? today! Here's a second post for you to read on this lovely Friday. (Lol doing two because they're due for my final project today. I'm sorry Dr. Cornish.)
We're switching it up to some nice outfit ideas for Thanksgiving this time around. I'm going to give you three ideas for what to wear this holiday, and you may already have some of this stuff in your own closet, so it's not necessary to go out and buy anything new unless you want to!
These outfits range from a nice outfit for a trendy Friendsgiving or dinner with you family to I really just want to hide that fact I ate a whole pie. Enjoy!
This is the outfit you'll want to wear if you want to hide your food baby and remain complete casual and comfortable on this wonderful holiday. Instead of going with the typical sweatpants and sweatshirt, I made it a little more presentable by throwing on a pair of joggers and a graphic sweatshirt, both from Forever 21. To keep with the cool, casual vibe, I wore my really beat-up and old Converse high tops.
I don't know why, but I really want to sing the Fresh Prince of Bel Air theme song when I wear this outfit. Maybe I just feel like Will Smith chillin' out maxin' relaxin' all cool.
This outfit is a little dressier than the last, but still so comfortable and cool with the black joggers and oversized sweater (again, to pull around your waist and hide the food baby.) I added a black turtleneck, this one is cropped, but you definitely can buy a full length one if you don't like this style, and some black booties to keep the outfit neutral.
My top, joggers, and booties are all from Forever 21 and my sweater is from H&M. Doing the power pose here and sporting my favorite kind of outfit, all black everything (except for the sweater, but oh whale.)
For this last outfit, I went dressier, but comfortable. (Mom, I just need to say that I bought this dress for FOUR DOLLARS.) My dress and booties are both from Forever 21. The fabric is really forgiving and stretchy, so there's plenty of room for the entire bowl of mashed potatoes that I'm going to eat.
This dress is both an on-trend color and style. Mid-length dresses are huge right now and so is maroon, so I recommend wearing this for a stylish Friendsgiving dinner and adding some cool chunky jewelry or a cropped leather jacket.
Hopefully you've enjoyed this double post Friday and this gives you some ideas of what to wear when that blessed holiday comes around next week!
Have a great holiday!

The day has finally come for me to review ColourPop's fall collection, which was requested by a good pal (hi Lily). I'll be reviewing all of their Lippie Stix/Lippie Pencils, Super Shock Shadows and Blush.
This collection was heavily inspired by the '90s which has been a huge trend lately. As a '90s baby (1996 still counts even though I was only 3 years old by the time 2000 rolled around), I was really excited for this collection. And it did not disappoint, so here are my thoughts!
Let's start with the Super Shock Shadows:
From top: Supermodel, I Spy, Girl Power, Boy Band, Central Perk, Straight Trippin', Plaid, Party Time, Mixed Tape
This collection had 10 shadows available and I was able to get my hands on nine of them. The only one I'm missing is Stereo which is a "blackened burgundy with copper and pink violet duo chrome glitter sprinkled on top in a Metallic finish." Each shadow is $5, which is an awesome price for the quality of these products.
These are creme shadows that come in a variety of finishes like matte, metallic, pearlized, and pressed pigment. I'm going to give the description from the website for each and tell you my favorite shadows!
Supermodel- Soft golden ivory, pearlized finish. This is the very top shadow on my arm (very difficult to see) and it's the perfect shadow to give a small wash of color and shine allover the lid. It's one of my most used shadows from this collection.
I Spy- Soft yellow peach, matte finish. Another one of my favorites for a nice transition shade in the crease.
Girl Power- Bright red orange, matte pressed pigment. I have yet to use this one, but a little of this on the lower lid with a neutral upper lid would look pretty cool.
Boy Band- Intense red copper, ultra-metallic finish. This shade is great for an allover lid color as well if you're going for a smoky copper eye, but I personally like to throw this in the outer corner of my eye.
Central Perk- Dirty maroon, matte finish. My favorite shade in the entire collection. It's just the perfect color for the outer corner, crease, and lower lashline. Plus, it's named after "Friends" which is one of the best T.V. shows ever.
Straight Trippin'- Deep black with a slight hint of a red-violet hue, matte finish. Such a beautiful shade that I'm going to definitely be using more.
Plaid- Deep blackened olive, matte finish. I don't really feel like this one is a matte finish, but it's one of the most pigmented shadows out of this whole collection.
Party Time- Dusty mauve grey, matte finish. Again, I don't believe that this is actually a matte finish, but it's great for the cool-toned smoky eye.
Mixed Tape- Mid-tone cool grey, pearlized finish. Another shadow that's great for cool-toned looks.
Yay! Done with shadows! Now on to blushes:
Only two products to talk about this time! These again are creme products, and creme blushes can be a little tricky to work with if you're used to regular powder blushes. It's all about blending and slowly building up the pigment with these kinds of products.
My favorite is Cruel Intentions, which I mentioned in my Fall Favorites post. It's definitely a more subtle color than Never Been Kissed. Both of these are matte blushes and very pigmented. They are $8 each and are great products for a great price just like the shadows. Now let's get into some descriptions.
Cruel Intentions- Warm rose, matte finish. Again, this is one of my top favorite blushes of all time just because it's such a beautiful color that gives that natural flush.
Never Been Kissed- Dusty coral, matte finish. Personally, I haven't worn this one because it's such a bright shade, but a sheer wash of this on the cheeks would be stunning.
Now for my favorite part of this little review... Lippie Stix and Lippie Pencils. These are some of my favorite lip products on the market. They are pigmented af and long lasting. All of the Lippie Stix in this collection are matte as well, which I love because I'm a matte lipstick kind of girl. At $5 each for the Lippie Stix and $5 as well for the Lippie Pencils, these are so amazing. I own more of their lip products outside of this specific collection, and I love those as well. (Bitchette is one of my favorite colors outside of this collection if you want to check it out.)
Alright, here we go with some swatches of these beautiful Lippie Stix (I'm wearing both the Lippie Stix and its matching Lip Pencil):
Oh Snap- Pale dirty nude, matte finish. Hands down my favorite color from this line. To me, it's the perfect nude.
Contempo- Mid-tone dusty rose, matte finish. I love this shade as well, but I really have to be in the mood to wear a lipstick this pink since I typically stick to more nudes or maroons... Literally two sides of the spectrum, I know, but I just can't really do the middle unless I'm feeling it.
Grunge- Cool-toned plum brown, matte finish. This is my second favorite color in the collection. Usually I try and stay away from brown-toned nudes, but I love this one because it has that plum tone in there as well. And it makes me feel cool.
Poison- Deep brown red, matte finish. This shade I really like, but it's not my favorite just because it's more of a brick shade which I don't really like on myself.
Dazed- Berry red, matte finish. My favorite of the two reds because it has more of that berry tone. (Can you tell I tried to look dazed in the photo?)
Nevermind- Deep blackened violet, matte finish. I can't really say much because this color speaks for itself. One day I'll have the guts to wear this in public. (LOL at me trying to look like I don't give a f*ck.)
This collection and this brand are one of my top favorite brands just because of the amazing product quality and affordable prices. I highly recommend it to anyone who's looking for a cheap makeup brand with good quality. Also, they send you a cute hand-written note when you order something and you can typically get free shipping at $30 (a.k.a. you can buy SIX LIPPIE STIX) which is a nice perk and lower than most companies who do free shipping at $50 or $100.
Hopefully you enjoyed this little review and check out this awesome company! This collection is still available, so get your '90s vibes on while you still can! I know I'll be purchasing Stereo soon to complete the line. ;)
Have a wonderful weekend!
P.S. How about that sweet choker?
Disclaimer: I bought all these products myself and wasn't paid to talk about them by ColourPop. They have no idea who I am, these are just my honest thoughts on their products.
