I want it so badly to be fall... but unfortunately today's high is 82 and I am sad. Nevertheless, I'm going to start putting fall items in my rotation because it's September and I can't wait any longer. Last fall, I was really pregnant so fall fashion kind of went by the wayside for me, but this year, I got a wardrobe refresh thanks to Trunk Club and my bff/stylist MacKenzie.
Trunk Club is Nordstrom's online styling service where you get matched up with a virtual stylist and are sent 12 items on a schedule you set. You can choose to get a trunk every month, every other month or every three months. I went with the three month option just to give my wardrobe a little kick for the new season. To start, you take quiz asking a little bit about what you like and don't like in clothes and also what your daily life is like so your stylist can pick the best items for you from Nordstrom's stock. You then get a preview of your trunk and can edit as you'd like to get the items you really want to try. You can send your stylist suggestions as well of things you see on nordstrom.com that you would like to try.
The shipping is super quick — MacKenzie and I put together my trunk at the end of last week and I received it yesterday. You then have five days to try everything, pick what you want and send the rest back. The super convenient part is that you can schedule a pickup through the website so you don't have to worry about dropping your stuff off.
For non-Nordstrom card holders, there is a $25 styling fee that is credited toward your purchase, but that fee is waived for cardholders so if you decided to send everything back, you aren't charged anything. You are also not charged up front so you don't have to worry about paying and then waiting for a return to be credited back when you decide something doesn't work.
One of my favorite parts of the process is getting the outfit suggestions. MacKenzie made outfits from all the pieces in the trunk, so I'm here to show those off today. I only styled the first and last looks myself. The jeans in the first picture were also my own purchase prior to getting the trunk, but I had to style them with the matching jacket. So now that I've finished rambling, please enjoy this fall lookbook with my Trunk Club pieces.

I'd love to keep every single piece — especially those amazing Rag & Bone pants — but I'm adding just a few of the fall items to my wardrobe to spice it up for the season. The rest will easily go back to Trunk Club without me having to lift a finger. If you're looking to try out this styling service from the comfort of your own home, go to MacKenzie. I may be biased since she is in fact my real life BFF, but she's also my most stylish friend and will put together the perfect trunk for you. I only requested a couple of these pieces — the rest she put together. I think she hit the nail on the head with my style. You can sign up with her and get $50 for your first purchase through her link: https://www.trunkclub.com/mystylist/mackenzie.putnal
Please sign up with her because she's awesome and my BFF.
