This past Saturday, I had the pleasure of going into Chicago to walk through Pilsen to see various art galleries in the neighborhood. The day was absolutely beautiful and the different collections of art were equally beautiful. This neighborhood offered some great backdrops for my first OOTD post here on my blog!
I kept things simple for the beautiful fall weather on Saturday with a mostly black ensemble (the first of many you will see here) and a knitted grey & black cardigan. My sweater is from H&M, which can be found here. My basic black tee is from Express (last season) and my black leggings are from Gap. Basic black tees can be found almost anywhere, but the leggings I'm wearing can still be found in stores and online here.
In terms of accessories, I kept it simple with my Ray-Ban Clubmasters and my Longchamp bag in Fig. This bag is perfect because I was able to throw in my camera bag and a scarf and still have plenty of room for the rest of my essentials. My shoes are from the brand Mix No. 6 and were given to me by a friend. I believe they were purchased at DSW last year, so they aren't available anymore, but you can find a similar pair here.
Other accessories for the day included this choker set from Garage Clothing and this amazing lipstick. It's the Nyx Cosmetics Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in Amethyst, purchased here.
Here's a picture in front of one of the incredible murals we saw while walking around the neighborhood. I wish I could be surrounded by this art all the time. *sigh* Maybe someday.
Also, here's my favorite art piece from the day. It's a sculpture called "Eurydice" by artists Dobrila Pintar & Erwin Overes. If this were an actual dress, you better believe I would be wearing it.
I had an absolutely wonderful Saturday in the city! What did you do this weekend, and more importantly, what did you wear? Comment below and let me know!
Have a great week!
